Put a cork in it?

I spend my days tasting all the delicacies of our espresso and coffee and the evenings tasting some amazing wines. La vita dolce!

I ran into two old friends, Anna and Steve at the new wine store in East Liberty – Oh what fun. We were talking about life, work, Tazza D’Oro and exchanging suggestions about wines. Steve returns from the temperature controlled room and reports that there are bottles of “Old Telegraph” from the Bonnie Doon Vineyard. Hmm, I say, California and triple yikes a screw cap!!! But knowing Anna and Steve, it must be good. I spend the 30 bucks, unscrew the cap (flinching and screaming) take a sip – WOWZERS!

What’s the deal with cork versus screw caps? I’m reading and tasting. Anyone want to join me at Tazza D’Oro for a weekly tasting so we can sip and sort this out?

I would love to come to wine tastings. Until early May Thursday through Sunday are best for me and MOnday and Wednesdays are out. When were you thinking? Irina

I’d be interested in hearing more about this idea. I already belong to 3 other tasting groups, so weekly would be a bit much for me, but who knows………………..

I’m not sure I can keep up with the once/month group I’m in – but I would love to come intermitently. I’m only a block away! Let me know what you have planned!
